A six-decade fashion time capsule.
The Videofashion Library is the world’s largest, totally-owned fashion news video library — which is 100% shot by Videofashion and can be licensed with no rights issues as news footage, segments, and for documentaries.
Since 1976, our in-house camera crews have been front row, backstage, and behind-the-scenes in all the world’s major fashion capitals — making us the industry’s de facto “fashion news of record.”
Using state-of-the-art equipment and the best videographers, we’ve shot over 20,000 hours of footage documenting the art and business of fashion, with over 10,000 designer collections and runways, as well as backstage access, red carpets, award ceremonies, museum exhibits, retail, studio tours, and other behind-the-scenes coverage. Not to mention over 35,000 interviews with designers, models, artist, press, curators, celebrities and industry experts.
We've got it all — including that decade of fashion footage from 1976-1985 not available anywhere else.
We know that for producers and archivists, clearing the rights for footage can be a nightmare. That’s why we’re proud to be the only fashion library in the world that is totally-owned and fully-licensable without restrictions. The Library is 100% shot by Videofashion — which means we can offer worldwide rights in perpetuity in all media for all footage in our archive, without the need for third-party releases.
But it’s not just our unique licensing proposition that makes us special. Explore more below for a taste of the wealth of footage the Videofashion Library has to offer.
