Since 1976, our camera crews have been front row, backstage, and behind-the-scenes in all the world’s major fashion capitals — making us the industry’s de facto “fashion news of record.” 

Using state-of-the-art equipment and the best videographers, we’ve shot over 20,000 hours of news footage documenting the art and business of fashion: over ten thousand designer collections and runways, as well as backstage access, red carpets, award ceremonies, museum exhibits, retail and studio tours, and plenty behind-the-scenes coverage. Not to mention over 35,000 interviews with designers, models, stylists, editors, retailers, tastemakers, celebrities and industry experts.

We've got it all — including comprehensive coverage of that decade of fashion from 1976 to 1985 not available on video anywhere else.

We know that for producers and archivists, clearing the rights for footage can be a licensing nightmare. That’s why we’re proud to be the only fashion library in the world that is wholly-owned and fully-licensable without restrictions. Our library is privately-owned and 100% shot by Videofashion, which means we can offer worldwide rights in perpetuity in all media for all footage in our archive, without the need for third-party releases.
